Charu Narula is a 2001 graduate of the University of Kansas and 2008 MBA graduate of Southern Methodist University. Her career began in the small family business environment, with exposure to both retail as well as distribution channels. The experience from entrepreneurial practices allowed her to work globally, including delivering HR initiatives between local companies and call center environments in New Delhi.

Charu also spent ten years as a manager in different wireline divisions of AT&T. During this time, she worked with union and management team members on projects ranging from disaster recovery initiatives after hurricanes Rita and Katrina, to daily business productivity functions and contract issues. At AT&T, Charu received ten awards for outstanding performance in various categories of corporate and consumer support.
